John McGlothlin III
John McGlothlin III is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and a member of
After growing up in Austin, John ventured into the Midwest to earn his BA from Northwestern University, and his PhD from Indiana University, Bloomington. In 2017, he returned to Texas to begin his financial planning career, and in 2020 he became Southwest Retirement's lead planner.
Alongside retirement planning, John's areas of professional interest include ESG and socially responsible investing.
John proudly serves on the board for Open Door Preschools, and as treasurer for the Capital Area Parkinson's Society (CAPS).

Lori Wiese
Lori Wiese earned her BA in Computer Science from SUNY of Technology and her MS in Secondary Math Education from SUNY New Paltz.
She taught math for several years before leaving work to raise her children. Lori took on numerous volunteer positions at her church and in the community while raising her family.
In 2008 Lori joined Southwest Retirement, where she manages office operations.
